MFAST blends a highly individualized and student-focused approach with collective discussion and inquiry. The program centers on a Mentor/Mentee relation supplemented by an array of other courses including Critical Theory, Professional Development, Tech for Artists, and a Certificate in Teaching. Throughout the course of the program, students have a sustained, long-term engagement with the Mentor Faculty, as well as numerous interactions and one-on-one meetings with renowned Visiting Artists, Lecturers and Critics.
MFAST is a truly immersive multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary program where Theory and Practice are completely embedded, and various media, approaches and practices are in dialogue with each other. Mentors and Program Director are all practicing artists and active participants in the contemporary art field.
