Daniel Grantham currently lives and works in Baltimore Maryland, where he is active as an artist and composer. In his audiovisual and musical works, he explores how stochastic, interactive, and algorithmic processes can integrate and reveal aspects of computer and human decision-making. The surface details of these works exhibit patterns found in the physics of sound within larger structural elements arising from repeated patterns of unequal elements. His compositions and audiovisual installations have been performed and exhibited in Texas, Michigan, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Italy, and Germany.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi and earned his Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas with an emphasis in Music Theory after successfully defending a thesis revealing developmental compositional processes in the early music of György Ligeti.
